A picture of selflessness in marriage

Oooohhh… how I hate it when embedding is disabled on youtube videos.

Here’s hoping you readers are willing to click on a link to watch a video.
I’ve been talking about the importance of a “holy selfishness” and how selflessness is actually a false virtue that Satan has tricked us into accepting into our Christian vernacular.
This clip from the movie, “The Joy Luck Club” is a great example of how the best relationships must include two fully present selves. (Unfortunately, the scene is split: it’s at the end of one clip and the beginning of another. But don’t worry, I bookmarked it for you. Click away!)

Part 2. (the first 58 seconds)
“I would like to hear your voice. Even if we disagree…
I want you to be here.”
I love it. That’s beautiful.
