Why Selflessness is Disturbing, Not Beautiful

A classic scene from a classic movie that should challenge those who strive to be “selfless”, rather than striving to be loving.

(That is, “Coming To America”.  And to be clear, I’m being a little tongue-in-cheek here.  I know that the typical dictionary definition of the word “selfless” isn’t all that bad.  But all too often, I think the common idea of selflessness strays too much into self-contempt, and fear of having or expressing an opinion.  More on that to come…)
